MARCH 2007
BARK IN THE PARK !!
Saturday March 17th,
Fleishman Park, Naples
(Goodlette
Road N)
St. Patrick's Day10am-3pm
Hosted by Humane Society Naples
Bark In The Park was a
total success for everyone. A huge event with a great turnout.
It was a beautiful day for a "get together" of all animal lovers and
supporters. GRINinc had a "sea of goldens" at our booth at all times!
Thanks to all the volunteers who "worked" the booth and to the many
adopters, supporters and golden lovers who came by to visit.

Between
February 15 and
March 15, 2007
we have had 7 adoptions completed!
GRINinc.
currently has 7 dogs in foster care.
Three of
those goldens have been waiting a very long time for their
forever homes.
They are Mickey, Dewey and Humphrey.
Mickey is all set and ready to go to her new home.
Unfortunately she has been in her foster home for over a
year. We just don't know why Mickey has not been adopted.
Yes she has some hip dysplasia but that is totally under
control with the daily intake of Rimadyl. She runs with
her foster dogs...she is not in any pain. She loves life
now. She gets along with other dogs (no cats
please). Mickey would be a great companion for an older
person or for a family with older children. She is petite
and very pretty ( see her pretty face at the top of this
newsletter!). Please if you know of anyone that would like
to give Mickey a new home, ask them to contact us. Oh by
the way, as you can see from the picture, Mickey has NO
problem getting up on her favorite sofa.!

Dewey
is a 6 year old boy that has also been waiting a while for
his new home. Right now he is enjoying his new lifestyle.
He tours around with his foster parents...going to car shows
and other events. Everyone loves Dewey and he loves
everyone.! Dewey has excellent house manners. His
favorite thing, besides riding in a car, is walking. The
foster home would like to see Dewey enjoy a fenced in yard
though...he enjoys running and playing. We are working on
his socialization with other dogs. We think he may be best
as an only dog or maybe with another dog, if it is the right
dog. Please think about helping Dewey find his forever
home. It is time...
And
then...there is Humphrey...Mr. Humphrey Bogart. This
handsome red boy is around seven, but like Dewey, he does
not act his age. Humphrey loves to play with the tennis
balls and is drawn to water....a nice dip in the pool would
make him most happy. Humphrey gets along with other dogs,
but we really do think that he would enjoy being the only
dog so that he can get ALL the attention.! Humphrey is
afraid of thunderstorms and that season is fast
approaching. We definitely need a home where someone can
either be home during the storm or have the flexibility to
get home before it storms...or perhaps take him to work or
maybe even have him spend the stormy days in a nice doggie
day care if necessary...at any rate we don't want Humphrey
to be alone during the storms. Please help us make sure he
is in his new home...safe and sound before the summer.
