NEWS UPDATES
APRIL 2007
Forever Golden Fund
UPDATE!
We wish to thank all
of our friends, volunteers and supporters who responded
generously to our Forever Golden Endowment Matching Fund Drive
during the past year. As you may recall, last June two generous
donors pledged to match every dollar we raised (up to $25,000).
Interest from this fund will support our yearly operating
expenses and insure the future of GRIN, Inc. Rescue. We have a
year to raise the money. The year ends June 1, 2007. So
far we have collected over $20,000. We have a little less
than two months to collect the remaining amount needed to put us
over the top and reach our goal. Any additional donations
that you wish to make to the Forever Golden Fund at this time
will effectively double by bringing in an additional matching
dollar. We would like nothing more than to collect the
entire $25,000 from these donors.!!! We have been going strong
for almost three years and have found loving forever homes for
over 200 special dogs. Please help us help our Goldens
now and in the future
MICKEY IS IN HER
FOREVER HOME!
I am sure
that most of you know our Mickey. She has been in foster care
with John and Gayle Pfohler for about 15 months! Mickey has
come a very long way since John and Gayle first brought her into
the rescue and their home. Just to refresh your memory, Mickey
came to us with bad skin, hair loss, and extreme pain due to hip
dysplasia...and, to add insult to injury, she was also heartworm
positive. Over the course of the year plus with John and Gayle,
Mickey has blossomed into a happy golden girl. She is no longer
in pain due to the anti inflammatory drugs that she is on
everyday, along with good food, supplements, moderate exercise
and maintenance of a svelte figure. Her coat has been
transformed into a silky, soft coat. She is one beautiful girl
and .... the best news is that she has found her forever
home!!! Mickey has been adopted by a loving family Alan and
Betsy D. and their golden Dudley. As you can see by the
picture, Mickey not only has a great new family, but she also
gets to do her most favorite thing in life....take over the
sofa!!!
We are very happy for Mickey and her new family and we thank
John and Gayle for their dedication in assisting Mickey to
become a very special golden.
