Welcome

Golden Rescue In Naples, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to finding loving homes for displaced golden retrievers. Golden Rescue In Naples, Inc. services rescue needs of the entire State Of Florida but concentrating efforts in Collier, Lee, Hendry, Charlotte, Desoto, Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

CORY & ELSA

COREY AND ELSA ARE YET AGAIN IN A FOSTER HOME AND DESPERATELY WAITING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME ... HOPEFULLY TOGETHER.

The motto for this special middle-aged couple is "Over the Hill, Picking up Speed, and Double the Gravity!". Elsa and Corey have been together all their lives and were abandoned off of a busy road in Naples. They waited for five days at the shelter and no one came for them. If it weren't for the intervention of Golden Rescue in Naples, this wonderful and lively pair would no longer be with us. They love to run around and vie for who deserves more attention, go for long walks, have rides in the car and watch over each other as they have always done. Like most couples, Elsa and Corey compliment each other with their individual graces. Elsa is strong and outgoing, she likes to be the center of attention and loves to meet new people. She is the busybody and wants to know what's going on at all times. Corey is more shy and gentle, and likes to take things in first before charging in headfirst as does Elsa who is fearless. Corey relies on his Elsa to make friends for him but once she lets him know he is safe, he's all wags and kisses. Both of these sweet goldens are incredibly loving and affectionate; it is a mystery that they were abandoned and neglected to the extent they were. They both are willing to forgive and forget, and find love anew, TOGETHER. Their wonderful foster family will be returning North soon which will place Elsa and Corey in the precarious position of having to be relocated and separated if they cannot be adopted together. Please help us make their ending a happy one.

THE ANIMALS' SAVIOR

Copyright Jim Willis 1999

Reprinted with permission of the Author

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter... the cast-offs of human society....I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry.

"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"

God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly.

"I have done something," He replied. "I created You."

Please help us help the dogs!
The summer is brutal for rescue. As is always the case in summer, we lose foster homes, our donations dry up, adoptions are down and the number of needy dogs wanting to come into the program increases. That, along with the number of dogs with serious medical problems has left us in dire straits. Please help if you can. No donation is too small. Thank you.
